SO YOU WANT TO BECOME A POET?
So, you want to become a great Poet? A person of note, well renown for their rhyme? Well, if what you write doesn’t come from your heart. You are wasting your paper, as well as your time! If verse happily spills forth, like a melody in tune. If verse bubbles up from very deep in your breast. Only then will you pen the right kind of words. Rhyming comes easy and it will then pass the test. Don’t try to fool people with wordy romantic guile. You’ll end up looking foolish, and then even worse! Fooling yourself into thinking, a Poet, you are? And yet you find difficulty in making up verse? It’s much like a writer who uses very big words. They try too hard, everyone with these words to impress. Reading their writing is so boring and painful. Their book ends up in the bin, with the rest of the mess! Try thinking of others as you pen in your verse! Ask yourself first, do you want all of us to feel very bad? Your not the only one with terrible problems in life. We all have bad troubles, some worse, or as sad! Remember your words can be like an unfair assault. You can attack our serenity for no better reason. Than to shove on others what you need to absorb. Like in the middle Summer, you bring Wintry Season! All this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t give poetry a go. The “Worlds Greatest Poet!”, could be waiting in you? But, only write the happy verses when they come from your heart. You will then get the accolades, that will be your due!
